I don't have the icons up at my house because I've set the Proxomitron to block off site images. If you haven't specifically done that, maybe some sort of server block is in effect offline?

When I had icons visible, sometimes they loaded slowly when the Cache was flushed. So maybe your image Cache is full and you've got some setting preventing it from loading new images.

Or something. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

As used here, cold boot = turn computer off, wait 20 seconds, turn computer on. A lot of Windows programs have memory leaks, and that could cause the problem you are observing. A cold boot should fix it temporarily, if it is caused by memory leaks.

Yes, go to Tools menu, Internet Options, Advanced tab. In the 'Multimedia' section there are options that control display of images, playing of sounds, etc. Check the settings there.

fyi, I think the viewing of animated gifs and smilies is tied to the 'security' (java) options, if you have IE set to High Security it won't show all images. At least that's how it acted on my comp. I set IE to medium security and now I always see the pics.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

It is possible that installing MyIE2 changed that security setting. It uses the same registry entries as IE for some of its settings (those that are also present in IE).

Hehehe. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif IMO MyIE2 is better than IE, while maintaining the same fundamental appearance and functionality. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
