Aaaah, this reminds me of the time Fargo decided to play Star Wars Miniatures Battles (his Version of it, anyway).

Check it out here. (http://www.gamespy.com/legacy/fargo/miniatures_a.shtm)

It's less disturbing if you say "no" to ActiveX - then you just get a black screen. Most soothing GameSpy I've seen in a long time.

Geez, what do you guys have against Gamespy, anyway? They've got game reviews and they're pretty darn entertaining, what more could you ask for? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

there going to take megaman and kirby out on date's. read it.

like i said more disturbing.

besides, gamespy is the borg. they've got the ever-expanding fileplanet, that requires that you register just to download files that you can usually get elsewhere and about 200 planet sites...and just like a good corperation, it's often hard to tell what they own and what they don't own. and they do all this while acting like a for-fun organization. legally, there a corperation. THEY'RE THE BORG, I TELL YA!!

The writing staff has done some interesting and amusing articles, though they seem a bit full of themselves sometimes. They also seem to mainly like vapid graphics/action games.

What I don't like is the way the gamespy program used to be a spiffy unobtrusive little utility that found games well, but since it was corporatized, now it's trying to sell you stuff, makes you register in their database, and various games require you to install GameSpy in order to play multi-player.

Also, the general mega-hype style puts me off.
