I recently re-installed SE IV and TDM-Modpack 330. I'm getting the "file access denied" when I hit "next turn."
I searched the forums and found a bit of talk on it. I tried the "read-only" fix but that doesn't work. Or maybe I haven't checked every file. But which ones exactly should I check?
I have the game installed to my D dive, not C. I also have WinME. But this wasn't a problem before so I don't think directory or OS has anything to do with it.
Any help?

Did you patch SE4 to 1.84?

Perhaps upgrade your OS to win 98 or 2000? (XP is not really an upgrade... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif )

That shouldn't be the problem either because this is the OS I was playing the game on originally. Anyway, I'm going to try uninstalling and then re-installing the game.

Well ME has more kinks and bizarre behavior than even XP does... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I have no more ideas for you though... hopefully someone else will.

I once had a problem like this and it turned out to be a missing folder that Windows wouldn't allow the game to create. I had to go in manually and create the folder. It was either Savegame, History, or Temp. Not sure which... maybe all three.
Hope that helps.
