thx, i got it, installed it...

and the damn thing gets memory errors every few minutes http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

i'm using a p4 - asus mobo with 845 intel chipset
ati radeon AIW 8500 DV w/ 64 megs ram
half gig of ram
directx 9.0b
windows 2000 pro with sp4 and all crit.updates

ie, what should be a 'good' system...

i guess there are still a lot of bugs which need to be worked out?

from what i've seen tho, it looks really really cool

Arrrrrrg what a disapointment. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

clearly the minimum requirements must be a lot higher than my 1Ghz P3. (although they are claimed to be much lower)

(although they are claimed to be much lower)<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have you tried different options? Storms are the biggest culprits for slowdowns (even somewhat on my p4 2.4) - try setting them lower. Also, WinXP tended to slow the game down a lot more than say, Win98, which I ran with my Celeron 300Mhz and 320Mb RAM originally. If you are running XP, turn off some of the display options (like animated menus etc.).
