What is your favorite way to set up your games?

Single Player:
I prefer to set low tech, use FQM D- Dense Midlife Large Galaxy, Warp points anywhere, no events, Good planet starting with good starting resources. One planet low tech start with high tech cost, using 5k settings.

For Multiplayer:
I do much the same with the exception of starting points. I normally set that to 2k.

For hot seat with my Beloved:
FQM/TDM, Low tech, high tech cost, 5000 racial, best AIs, lots of Neutrals, Threaded Spiral is the favourite.

I'm partial to large Cluster sectors, with many AI players. If the game does a good job in spreading the players out, each empire has a "core" Cluster that is more easily defensible, a base from which to expand.

Currently it is AIC mod, about 10 AI with low bonus, no neutrals, one medium HW start, medium atypical-sidereal galaxy. No warp points.

First ~150 turns I enjoy the SimCity-style game, then some barabrians open warp points to me and burn my cities http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

Havn't played AI since I started PBW, a couple months ago. But it was TDM/FQM, 255-system, some kinda FQM clusters, not-all-warp-point-connected (then keep generating map until all systems are connected), low tech, low tech cost (think that'll change the next time I play AI, havn't played one low cost PBW game yet), single, large, good homeworld, 2000 racial, 20 non-neutral AI opponents, high difficulty, medium bonus.

PBW cant be whatever, I havn't yet started my own game.
