Did SE4 go politically correct (no small craft ramming civilian buildings? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif ) or is this just a bug? I have some kamikaze fighters with kamikaze warheads and their strategy is set to Kamikaze... they will move right up next to a planet, but they won't ram it... All the "don't fire on" flags are turned off, and the fighters will move up next to the planet, but they just won't ram it... I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that their top targeting priority is "has weapons" and this particular planet is unarmed... still, if nothing with weapons is found to ram, shouldn't they go after their next priority? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif Stupid fighters think they have to follow the Geneva convention or something http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

It could be that the square they are targetting is inside the planet, and so they can not reach it. Can you ram planets in tactical combat?

Hmm, now they won't ram satellites armed only with PDC, either... Maybe if I put some shield depleters on my fighters, then they'll realize they can attack things http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
