we had turkey and cranberry sauce, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy.

had a couple of friends over, played some cards, sang some songs, including 'wasn't that a party'. funny song. what's the rules for downloading song lyrics off the internet?

i think we had columbus day, named after some town in ohio.

or maybe it was named after the guy that blundered into the americas, slaughtered entire islands full of natives, and was jailed by the spanish when he didnt return with enough of their plundered gold.

well, that would explain why he was so hard-core about getting lots and lots of gold...

I went hiking in the mountains (Jasper Nat'l Park) over the Thanksgiving weekend. My mom and dad came up from L.A. on Monday, so we had Thanksgiving supper Monday night (a little late, but better than never).

Oh, and my wife and I sprung it on the family (hers and mine, same supper) that we're expecting! (that's expecting a baby, to those that didn't catch the innuendo). Expected in the first week of June.

Ahhhh. 8 more months of sleep, and then never again. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Congrats to both of you.
I can't remember what I ever did before my boys, but then again, I can't remember what sleep was like either. Enjoy sleeping in while you can. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Thanksgiving - Never heard of it...

Thanksgiving is a fairly major holiday in the US and Canada, though the two countries celebrate it in different months (US has it Nov 26th or so... maybe 24th, I forget).

Thanksgiving - Never heard of it...<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Not being able to remember what I did before my boy is the most spooky thing. I really have no idea how I filled the time up (well maybe - way to many games and gaming... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif ).

Jimbob - encourage breast feeding - then you dont need to get up in the middle of the night as we mere males lack the infrastructure!
