As the official Play By Web (http://www.pbw.cc/) server is down for an undetermined length of time, SE.net has set up a hosting system to allow games to continue. The scripts used are based on those that Ruatha has written, as posted on Shrapnel Intel Forums (http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=23;t=010229). You can access the site at the following url:

http://pbw.spaceempires.net/

Currently, there are two games hosted, Adamant 010 and Babylon 5 Mod Game. If you wish for your game to be posted, send an email to admin at spaceempires dot net. You must include the following information:

Game name
Site name
Host name
Host e-mail

And the number of players, along with this information for each player number:
Player name
Player e-mail
Player empire name

Is Adamant009 your game, Fyron?

If so, does it look likely that it will be so hosted?

Loser:
Could you make me a list of the players, in order of player number? Preferably with email addresses too? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Not being in the game, I don't know who is playing what empire.

Asmala may disagree but I kind of suspect that putting a Koth game up liike this really wouldn't save any time. You could just email the files to Asmala and save him the trouble of having to go to the site to get them.

There is another possibility that works good for two player games, but it requires a bit of trust between the players and Asmala would have to give you the game master password. You can send your .plr file to the other guy, he runs the turn and does his next turn and send the game and his .plr file back to you. Rinse and repeat as neccesary.

Yeah... 2 player game doesn't really gain a whole lot from this, as it is easy to coordinate.

Since Asmala does not seem to have checked in with the forums, I think I'll wait until he checks back in and see what he thinks. Lord Chane and I are in a particularly critical phase of our game, and I wouldn't trust myself to host the game.
