I am caught between two worlds. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif My parents computer is so new that the "choice" dos command in the pickmod.bat does not work, and yet is not new enough to have all of the ".net" files on it to run the "se4modselector.exe". I am home on vacation and don't have all of my computer resorces around. I don't want to download all of .net on their modem. Are there any other mod selector applications out there? I really just need it for Anklebiters, which is a small simple mod. I could copy the files by hand?

Or, you could just make a shotcut to the path.txt, and type in "anklebiters" or "none" or whatever mod name you want at the moment.
If anklebiters is all you're playing over there, just change the path.txt once and be done with it.

Do what I used to do... make a copy of path.txt for each mod, and write a bunch of batch files like this:
STOCK.bat
--
copy path_stock.txt path.txt
se4.exe
PNN.bat
--
copy path_pnn.txt path.txt
se4.exe
...etc.

actually, its possible to make a .pif shortcut that would launch a specific mod, perhaps someone will remember how to do it?

Thanks SJ and others. After I got the mod unzipped in the right directory, I could then manually edit the "path.txt" file. It works. At least it is good enough for two weeks.
Wait till my new ships come out, I am ready for Kneebiters now. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
