View Full Version : Map bug in FQM Deluxe?

I am playing a TDM/FQM Deluxe 1.84 game and a very strange thing is occuring on the map.
According to the planet display screen there are two ruin planets in two systems. When I click goto they are not there and I cannot find them in the system at all. If I select send colony ship it creates a track to the bottom of screen and then disapears - but the colony ship does not move.
Is this a known bug? Am I being dumb?

I think the FQMD uses some of the planet pics from the image pack. If you have only loaded the FQM mod and not the image pack they will be invisible and uncolonizable.

Are they in a system where they might be hidden by asteroids or storms with sight obscuration abilities?

I am pretty sure I've downloaded all the image stuff.

I have noticed that every now and then a system will have one or two planets but no sun. I don't know if the sun has a special attribute hiding it from view or not, but even with Hyper-Optics, I still cannot see it.

What else is in the system? Is it an asteroid field system?

The two systems that this is ocuring in are both normal systems with sun and planets. The colony ships have a track to the bottom of the screen but dont actually move.
