Does any one know waht ALCXMNTR.exe is? I recently appeared in my system process about the time that my right click options began to lag horribly.

I don't know what it is but after a google on it it seems to be normal.

Its not a virus, I discovered it has something to do with Real Tech. An audio something.

Well, if its not nessesary for your audio, then you might as well disable it.

If you're using 95/98/me
Start->Run->Msconfig
Goto the startup tab, and uncheck it.

Next time you reboot it won't be loaded.
You'll get a message each time on boot until you uncheck the "always show this" box on the message.

It seems to be a Video driver or something. Do you have something called AlcxMonitor installed?

If you're using 95/98/me
Start->Run->Msconfig
Goto the startup tab, and uncheck it. <font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">This works identically under 2000 and XP.

I'm not sure exactly what this is, but given that it ends in MNTR, I suspect that it is some system monitoring application (similar to STIMON, the still image monitor), perhaps related to media files.

Active X?
