Ok admit it, you break the cardinal rule and eat at your computer while playing SEIV don't you? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Well I am certainly no exception, most of the crumbs in my key board have come from many hours of non stop SEIV. (Especially recently with the three gameathons I have been playing in.)

I discovered during my gaming / eating time, that certain things seem to taste better when I am playing. Green olives, tea, and peanuts.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif Pizza, chips and others seem less enjoyable and I don't eat them. Besides the oil mess up my keys.

Has any one else taken note of this phenomenon?

I vote for Chips, Cheeze Doodles, and BBQ Party mix (Doritos), and a nice cup of tea or the occasional soda.

..Can you say Crunch? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

P.S. Crunching into a big chip when destroying a planet helps with the sound effects too.

Playing SE4 does not require food. It however very important to have a beverage while playing. Beer or wine for those evening games and a coffee for those morning turns.

i've always thought the 'no food' rule was for amatuers who might actually spill something on the computer. i've eaten all sorts of things in here including greasy stuff and never spilled a thing. you just work the mouse and keyboard with one hand and eat with the other.

Ok. Run, do not walk to the supermarket and get some anise (that's finocchio in italian). It's a celery-like vegetable, with a large white lower stem and a fresh licorice taste. Slice it up, and enjoy, keyboard stays grease free.

When you're away from the keyboard, you can try dipping in olive oil.

However, sadly, I have not mastered the art of not spilling anything. I have trouble with things like spaghetti. I lift up my fork with some spagetti, and when the ends of the spagetti come off the plate, they tend to flick sauce onto my keyboard and monitor. I also have trouble with Subway sandwiches. They stuff so much lettuce and mayonaise and all kinds of good stuff into those, that when I bite one end of the sub, some of the filling drips out the side or the other end of the bread.

chease and apple. <font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Hmm... don't believe I have ever heard of combining cheese with apples... what type of cheese and what type of apples? That would seem to be an unpalatable combination to me, unless there is some specific combination...

Crap now I forgot what it was I wanted to post. .... *deep breath - *exhaled slowly*

I am going to bed.

My vote's for Cheetos. Unfortunately, this habit produces some rather disturbing side-effects, and I've had to convince more than one person that my mouse had orange polka dots on it when I bought it. It's from Microsoft's Optical Nouveau line of input devices, you see. Very fashionable.
