Ok, I posted this on a thread recently, but never got a response. I d/l this mod recently, and after hitting the end turn button on turn 1, I get a "Files Missing" error message. Does anyone know which files may be missing? I'm using Gold 1.84, so I don't know if this mod needs to be patched to make it current, or if it might be the facilities or planets files that need to be updated, or something else?

Compare the Data folder of the mod to the stock Data folder and see if any files are missing. If so, try copying the missing stock files to the Grau mod data folder one by one, to find out which is causing the error. If you find the file, post about it.

The author may have intended for you to install it over top of a copy of the stock files...

I did d/l every file that was on the PBW website. I don't know what missing file the computer is missing, but it's not a graphic file. It doesn't show up like that. What shows up is a little brown box after you hit the first end of turn button, stating something about files are missing, then the game is locked up. I have no idea what files might be missing, and I haven't seen the author on the forum.

I was thinking of updating the components, facilities and planet files, but haven't had the chance to lately. If you do that, let me know how it works.

what i did so far is install the mod normally into seiv directory. I already have the image packs needed in vanilla SEIV --to be sure i added all the vanilla components, facilities, planets directly into the GRAu mod folder. then i added the authors planet and facility packs in--still no luck. I may now try copying the data folder from vanilla seiv the reapplying the grau data folder over it--dunno if that will work?

ok grege, i got it to work--however i had to do a second installation of SEIV to get it working. I just made a folder called Space Empires IV and installed SEIV into it--then patched it, then added the image packs to vanilla SE. i installed Grau mod--and the file for planets and facilities that the author provided. i put the mod launcher in and tested it--works fine. I am assuming it was meant to run over vanilla SEIV like SJ said earlier in this post. anyways if you install a second SEIV it should work for you.

Ok, thanks for the info. I doubt if I'll get to it tonight, as I want to watch Kingdom Hospital. I'll try that tomorrow.
