For the next update for the Gold-D-2 Mod I'm looking for someone to design a Pirate AI race (not the AI files, that I can handle but the actual graphics, which I lack any skill at..)

I'm looking for the following ship sizes:

1: Frigate (around the 300kt range)
2: Cruiser (around the 500kt range)
3: Raider (around the 800kt range)
4: Carrier/Drone Launcher (big, lol)
5: Fighter/drone of somekind
6: Baseyard of somekind (kinda like the old Zorians which were in hollowed out asteroids).
7: Moon-sized baseship of unbelieveable power http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif (ie, 10,000kt size).

The 'style' of the pics is definitly retro, with sails/cannons and the whole nine yards (skull/crossbones on the sails would be great http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif ) but definitly a space worthy vessel. Sort of a cross between the old-style Civ I pirate raiders/the Vikings and that space sail ship thingy from a DS9 episode I have a vague recollection of....


The reward......my undying praise and gratitude....as well as full credit/ownership of the pics (you can pull them anytime if you so choose for your own use, etc).

Yes the moonsized spacebase that can move is a great idea. What about a large cruiser around the 650Kt mark !

Mines to protect their areas of operations perhaps a special type of mine ie one with a automatic cloak device and a new tech arm ie cloak mine sweeper so that other races can search out pirate mines

There is actually a shipset on PBW like that... I forget exactly what it is called. There it is: the Salty Dogs. They do not have skull and crossbone, but they are ships with sails and such. There's also a Space Pirate or Pirates shipset with these cool dark green ships and asteroid-bases... their race portrait looks like a Fazrah with some sort of artificial appendage or something...
