Whatever happened to all the people who were writing stories for us to read?

I lost interest in writing do to RL issues, but I still enjoy it from time to time, and I do miss reading other peoples work.

well, Erax's seems to have been sucked under by RL to.

I too have been sucked into a thing called RL. I barely have time to do the needed things anymore. But rest assured, when I find time again I will continue with my story.

I know how that goes. To be honest, I am just tired of games in general. Right now all I want to do is is finish up the games I am in and take a while away from all my games, SEIV included, and focus on RL things.

I know the feeling. I'm playing in two PBW games right now, which by themselves are no threat to my RL experience. Trouble is that in this part of the country there are things called 'snow' and 'sub-zero temperatures' that tend to curb my outdoor activities. Does reading count as RL? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Hmm, there's snow and sub-zero temperatures here too. Right now the wind-chill is about -45 C and the temperature is about -30 C. But that's nothing! No, tonight its supposed to be -42 with a wind-chill of -57 C. Now that is cold!

Ummm, maybe you can answer a question:

Under such conditions when making, ahhh, YELLOW SNOW - can it actually freeze on the way down??? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Well, we aren't stupid enough to expose those parts of our anatomy to the cold! But even if you did, no it wouldn't quite freeze on the way down. But almost http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif And it's warmer now! This morning only -33 C !!

Funny you should bring this up (stories, not yellow snow). I have recently begun work on Othaglot & Cane again after a 7-month hibernation period. Expect (well, hope for) a fresh chapter in the next few weeks, following a minor but important re-working of the latest two.
Soon we will be meeting Erik the Shed, paying a visit to the Sergetti quarter, maybe popping into Mossy Mallasses' Druk-Zuzz Jazz joint and perhaps even finally learning what's actually going on in this sorry excuse for a detective story. I know I'm dying to find out=-)

As an excuse for the delay in writing I can only offer up RL and admit that some of my writing time has been sucked away by other story projects that I'm won't be sharing with the forum at large. Yet.

I think it is a horrid 60 F or so out right now... ah, sub-temperate climate bands. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif I haven't even seen snow in a couple of years. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Renegade...We get that when you're done with it, but the Great Lakes warm it up a bit...and use it to, you guessed it...make SNOW! I live about 20 miles south of lake Superior.

Somebody on the west coast go over and smack Fyron for me, will ya? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Renegade, I live in Florida, and my happy sac just tried to go up into my stomach after reading the balmy temperatures you're having. Brrrrr!!! That's one reason I didn't go back to Oklahoma after I got out of the service. I hate cold weather! I always have. I'm glad I haven't seen snow in over 10 years. I could go the rest of my life without seeing it again. But I suspect that we'll take my son somewhere north during one of years so he can experience snow. I just don't look forward to it.

I too hate snow. I've lived in Indiana my whole life and I see it every stinkin' year and I still don't like it. Right now we have about 5 inches on the ground and it is still snowing pretty hard out there. It is supposed to get windy and near white out conditions this evening. Temperature isn't that bad, only like 15-20 F with a wind chill of 5 F or so. I still hate the cold and I hate the snow. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon8.gif

yeah, but that's a very fun couple of hours.

but snow is a road hazard. we need roads that defrost themselves.

It is fun to drive in I admit. Pull the e-brake as you go around turns or into parking spots, that gets me through winter. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Hey, the lights just got a lot dimmer. Are we having a power failure? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Nope. Its just the Highway Department turning on the 'road defrosters'! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">well, we'd need orbital solar arrays first, of course.
