I don't know how many of you read comic books, but there is series of comics called Tigers of Terra. I forget the author's Last name. I know it's Japanese. It's Ted something. Anyway, I was at the State of the Art site when it hit me. This would be a great idea for a shipset. The ships range anywhere from fighters to heavy battleships. I don't have the artistic ability or the time, but if anyone is interested in a new idea for a shipset, this would be it. He's been writing this comic since the 1980's, so there's plenty of material out there if you can find the books. Most of them are in collections the Last time I checked.

Ted Nomura

He does the "Families of Altered Wars" multi-series (Luftwaffe:1946, World War II: 1946, Kamikaze:1946, Tiger of Terra). I own a few random issues – I am not a collector though. I love the artwork, in a guilty sort of way.

They came out with some trade book tech manuals. I imagine they would provide plenty of material for a ship set or two.
