I wonder how much cash Geo would need to get a totally "state of the art" server? Considering, that he would propably buy normal computer with W2K server OS, I would say the hardware would cost no more than 2000€ (or 2000$) + the cost of the OS.

Please contact the server administrator, admin@pbw.cc and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Do you think it is a Hardware issue, or a software one?
Could someone have hacked PBW and screwed it up? Or did it catch a virus? Any water drip on the Server? A power surge or sudden impact?
First try restarting it.
If that fails, follow the HP advice line and kick the computer repeatedly until toe hurts.
If that fails, load shot gun and shot PC once.
Then go buy new HP PC.

PBW is back up and running. There may still be some minor complications. We are still running down a couple loose ends, but the server is up, accepting prompts and running turns.
Automatic turn processing will remain off for the the immediete future so people can get caught up on their games.

Auto turns are off. Right now the server is shut down, so it woulnd't matter anyway. But once we get it back up the auto turns will stay off so people get a chance to catch up. There is a possibility some turns ran Last night. If that happened to you, have your game owner contact us once things are working again. We can set the turn back.

There's a message and a link there to the IP for the server. http://69.3.206.249/ ,or you can just go straight there if you prefer. You guys can't go direct to your graphic and text links that you have stored.
If you go to http://seiv.pbw.cc/ it will redirect you to a page with a link to the new ip. That is http://24.145.157.194/
Or you can go direct to http://24.145.157.194/
Or you can go to http://24.145.157.194/graphic/index.jsp
or
http://24.145.157.194/text/index.jsp
if you prefer.
The seiv.pbw.cc isn't pointing to the new IP yet. Once that gets done, sometime today, everything will be back to normal.

Is it down again? I can't get to seiv.pbw.cc since 12PM GMT. http://69.81.92.70/ is reachable though.
Also where were no mails with turns as well as turn confirmations during Last 16 hours.

What do you mean down again? You have the new IP address so you obviously read the other thread. Nothing has changed since then. seiv.pbw.cc is still unreachable because the DNS has still not been changed. But you can still get to it direct at that IP address. I stickeyed the other thread. It's up at the top of the page.

Sorry Geoschmo, I've found this ip through search and didn't draw attention to post date http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Also I didn't notice the sticky tread on top of the page. That's why I posted this. Now I see my mistake.

Yeah, I kind of guessed that's what happened after my post. No problem. Too many threads floating around. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I just sent in a turn to PBW, then I went to the front page to move to another game. PBW is now unavailable.
The outage from a few days ago was while I was away, so I am assuming the adress i get these days is the new one.Anyway I've tried my favourites link and the new adress link down the page and it doesn't work.
Edit: I swear I checked before using this thread. Now I notice a PBW status thread. aaaahhh.
