I am having trouble with a application that is off of the viewing area, to the far right of it. I can't move the application since it doesn't offer the possibility to do so from the task bar, and I don't feel like attempting to retrieve it manually.(Increasing resolution doesn't work) Is there a utility that can help with this?

Switch to the program (using alt-tab)
Then press Alt, Space, M

Now you can use the keyboard arrow keys to trag the window back to where you want it.

SJ, if the Shrapnel Forums would add an extra star for member Ratings, it would come in handy at times like this. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

It doesn't seem to work for me.(I have also tried using caps-lock for the M.) Any alternative methods?

If it is resisting attemps to move it, it dosen't sound like anything you'd want to have on your PC...

Try an Alt-space-m, and then click (before moving) and drag.

I have had this problem occur in the past, with different applications. In any case, the problem still exists, unfortunately.

Of course only works if you have an english Version of windows. Other Languages use other keys for the "M"ove command. Your sig doesn't show where you are from, maybe that's the reason?

I believe I am using the English(American) Version of Windows XP.

CTRL + ALT + DELETE
brings up task manager in XP, only thing left that works when Alt Tab fails.. usually takes two clicks after bringin it up

you probably have a second screen enabled. disable it, then try restarting the app. it should default to the far side of your screen (the side closer to where the second screen was).

if not.. umm... no idea.

Learning the hot keys works wonders. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Thank you Oogs, that has corrected the problem. Thanks to the others who have offered advice, too.
