When I go to war with any computer race I always
attack any of his undefended colonies. I've
noticed that the AI doesn't always do this.

I've seen his ships bypass my outer colonies when any attack will hurt my economy. Anyone know a way to make the AI more aggressive.

I play on hard and give the AI a medium bonus.

As I said; All the AI’s all lack a real killer instinct. However, some are better than others. I recommend you handpick some of the top performers from Master B’s excellent AI Death Match and see if they perform more to your satisfaction.

BTW:
Not all human games take 3 days between turns. Me and Electrum just did 40 turns over the weekend in our KOTH game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Which AIs and patch are you using ?

In general the AI’s lack the killer instinct of a human, but the best TDM AIs are much better than the stock.

If you feel the AIs are too easy/boring, try playing some humans instead. You’ll find plenty of killer instinct on PBW (http://seiv.pbw.cc/graphic/index.jsp) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I'm using the latest patch and a mixture of AI's from TDM and the startrek races I downloaded
from new age shipyards.

Having played VGA Planets a lot I agree that
human players are more interesting but its nice
to play at home especially as you don't have to
wait 3 days for the next turn.
