Blarney News:
Wit' th' increasin' rate o' the Canadian dollar and th' increasin' US debt, immigratin' t' Canada has kept on lookin' better an' better, especially wit' th' friendler people north o' th' border. However, Blarney News has gotten ahold o' evidence that it may no longer be nessasary to choose betwix th' two. Prime Ministar Paul Martin, or th' PM PM, apparently, has bin holdin' high-livil negotiations wit' th' US goverment t' aquire everything frum 'sea to shinin' sea', south o' the 49'th an' noorth o' mexico. Th' payoof? th' mighty Canadian dollar will protect th' US's econemy frum it's downward spin. I ain' sure what Canada gets, but Canada kin spare th' petty cash.

Hum, I prefer the US being bought by Microsoft better. It was far more hilarious. But never the less, good one Narf. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

1) The exchange rate still isn't that great.
2) We have more pro hockey teams than they do.
3) Canada's only leverageable natural resources are (in ascending order) fish, the Toronto Blue Jays, and Rush.
Therefore, this deal is off. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

You forget, Canada has more uninhabitable land with lots of ice. Means more places to not go and colder drinks.

Not to mention of course, the massive amount of water and electricity that Canada sells to the US to keep all you warm-climate people's thirst quenched, and your bodies cool and air-conditioned!!

As a transplanted Ohioan, I can assure you that this dismal swamp we call our capital would be unlivable without A/C and Diet Coke.
