Please tell me what you think so far. Any suggestions on how to improve it would be extremly helpful.
I know the links page is not up yet because I haven't gotten them altogether yet, and the picture for SE.net at the bottom isnt there yet either.

I'm not sure what a site needs...but I think it's really cool anytime anyone cares so much about the game that they spend time on a site for it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon6.gif
I think your menu navigation at the top is really handy. Better than mine since it sometimes calls for scrolling to the bottom to choose another page.
When you make a site, you need to ask yourself what you want to do with it. The site I keep has a very specific purpose...east to see what I need to do there.
You, on the other hand, need to decide what you want your site to do.
If you want it to hi-lite your experiences in SE4, then give it the proper amount of attention. If it is to be a site for resources, then you should be as complete as possible...while also realizing there are plenty of sites doing the same thing.
If you want to highlight roleplaying...then put some stories up there. Maybe even hi-lite some games you have been in and write your butt off. When each story is completed, post a note so, if nothing else, those who were involved in it could go take a peek to see what you wrote.
Oh, and one more thing...I don't see my site there... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/blush.gif .
Good luck!
PS: And more pictures!

I noticed that the SE4 Ratings site was not on SE.net web links, but you never complained about that... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Some ideas you might want to consider for the site are switching from times new roman font (ewh) to at least Arial. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif
You may also want to use a white text for paragraphs and reserve coloured text for headings.
For large images, it might be a good idea to make a thumbnail image to avoid having them mess around with your formatting. Using %'s rather than fixed sizes for your tables can help to fill up the window.
Perhaps switch your image for se.net with that nice new banner I made for Fyron. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif
Anyways, keep up the work!

Always happy to see new comers in the SE world.
Very good idea to put XP themes... it would be cool to have a preview, in order to choose one without installing it...
Your dreadnought pics are upside down... any way to put them in a "normal" position ?

I like clean and simple sites. Your's fits in with this and I like it very much. I have just one comment,.. Make the blue color of the top menu a bit brighter. (0,0,255 on black does not have enough contrast.) I would suggest something like 75,150,255
That's it, that's all, keep up the good work.
Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Great News!
Some of you while at work or school may use a java irc client to log onto #se4 or other channels on gamesurge. I have good news on my site I have set up a java client that is completely customized for space empires Users. You dont have to install anything so it should work from any computer with internet access. It works with every browser. It probly works on Macs too, but I dont have a mac to test it on, thank god http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
If there are any suggestions on how to improve it they would be welcomed.

I suggest ditching the background in the java chat applet... A plain colored background (even white) would be much, much better for a chat applet.

The background of the irc client is now a light blue color and makes the text much easier to see. I encourge everyone to use it, its just like the forums except its live chat.
