Just wondering if ships that are grouped in a fleet :
- can gain experience from ship training facilities / psychic fleet training facilites.
- can repair same sector ships which are not in the same fleet or not in a fleet ?
thx.

OT: Trooper have you seen Star Ship Troops II (Hero's of the Federation)?
I watched it the other night and man was a D movie that was. (Still if they made a series out of it, it would be cool.)

Never heard about it. It's the following of Starship troopers ?
Thx for the answer, Primitive. Glad to see that the fleet and ship management is as cool as I've expected...

Yeah, that's really inconvenient. We have to remove some of the ships from the fleet, click on each ship individually to activate their emergency propulsion pods, add them back to the fleet, remove the rest of the ships, use the emergency propulsion on each individual ship, put them back into the fleet, and then move! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Thanks.
And I suppose that a carrier in a fleet can't recover fighters ?
I've never tried to use orders such as "load cargo" on a fleet... what happens in that case the cargo is loaded in any ship with free space, and then at the next turn, you can dispatch it to any ship in the fleet ?

Fleets can recover fighters. And load cargo. Unfortunately, cargo is loaded randomly, so you can end up with a fleet with carriers full of mines, mine layers full of troops that try to lay mines, and empty troop transports that try to recover fighters.
As always, the programm's AI is REALLY bad whenever it can decide anything on its own.
