View Full Version : AI Ignoring settings?

After checking all the TDM AI's at turn 127 I
noticed that most ignored the lines:

"Fleets Percentage of Ships For Fleets" and
"Maximum Research Point Generation"

The settings were 80-90% for fleets and the
average was 50% (some as low as 30%).

They had also many more intel and research points
than the settings file listed.

They all seemed to play well but why have these
lines if the AI ignores them.

You should probably also check for ships with order "Join fleet XYZ" That'll give you the correct percentages.

About research/intel: afaik AI will consider the _actual_ points, but if your AI have starting bonus, their points will be multiplied by the bonus level factor.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">IMHO- theTDM Xiati for example is set perfect, just a little elbow room for (post 40) scouting. And Mephisto has a good defensive guard as well.
The rest of the ships not fleeted are for special opps.

Your AI starting Bonus will then modify the total sum values http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
