My group is getting ready to play a mod game that has lots of moons, some with atmospheres. Playing around single player, I see that it's really hard to remember to click on every planet to see if the moons have been colonized. Does anyone have any tips?

Write it down in the system notes?

Only click on the planets with little numbers next to them - the ones without numbers don't have moons. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

How about going to the colonies screen (F5)? All the colonized moons and planets are listed there and you can click on those.

You can also look for the triangles on the system map, which indicate a visible alien force present. Only bother checking for colonies in systems which have an enemy presence.

No, other than the construction window and right clicking on individual colonies to see their stats... Both windows do have numerous view options though...
