I'm going on vacation for a week and a half and will not be checking the forum or email if my wife has anything to say about it. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

I have made a post in the PBW Status thread regarding what to do if there is a problem there.

This will be the longest I've been away from this forum in about 4 years. Have fun and don't miss me too much while I'm gone.

Am i the only one getting pictures in my mind of Lord of the Rings???

The lidless eye of Geoschmo slowly turns from his gaze on the Intel forums in search of vacation and the One Wife. But his gaze will return, waiting, watching... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Good Luck and Have fun Geo, I'm sure this place will be here when you return. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Hmmm, since it is apparent that Geo made this post then left on vacation already, it's kind of pointless to wish him well since he won't be here to get the message. (But just incase,.. Enjoy your time off, relax and have a fantastic vacation.)

hmmm, knowing he won't read this till he comes back, I just had a wonderfull thought,...

"Welcome back Geo, I hope you had lots of fun on your vacation." (there I guess that makes me the 'official' First to welcome you back. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif )

Yes I can be silly sometimes. But silly is good, it's goofy that's dangerous. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Power Man
July 8th, 2004, 04:07 PM
A small cargo shuttle lands out in the drive way. A small troop of blue cargo droids carrying large boxes, crates, and kegs file into Geo's house.

HI Everybody. I heard there was a party at Geo's and thought I would help out with the Goodies.

Power Man heads into the kitchen to put the stuff on ice.

"EUEEE What is that Stuff on the stove!!!" "Oh it's supposed to be chili. "
Taking a small taste… "Yep it Definitely needs Something!!"

Power Man carefully opens a small armored box. Inside is a jar of ACME Brand SUPER DUPER EXTREAMLY HOT CHILI POWDER. You know the brand with the Toxic waste and Radiation Hazard decals on it.
After activating all of he suits shields Power Man opens the jar and adds just one, or two, oops three drops to the pans on the stove. Just as he bends over the Last pot some type of ball comes flying into the kitchen.
It hits Power Man's hand and causes him to drop the whole jar into the pot!!! Grabbing a spoon he tries to fish the jar out of the pot. But it is too late, the chili turns an odd shade of reddish brown, and begins to bubble, bubble, toiling and troubling. The spoon starts to melt.

OH BOY I think this is going to be a GOOD BATCH!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

Putting the lids back on and cleaning up the evidence Power Man moves into the main room.

As the wize one keeps an eye on the chili and Powerman's additions, he looks out the kitchen window and see the FBWs in their skimpy bikinis jump into the pool which is full of jello with whip cream and begin to slip and slide making an eyefull site http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

The old one turns around and joins in the chorus,

According to this site {link} (http://van.hep.uiuc.edu/van/qa/section/States_of_Matter_and_Energy/Dissolving/20011004212321.htm), Jello has to be heated to at least 40C/104F to dissolve properly.

So in the real world you'd get lumps of sticky goo sinking to the bottom. Fortunately, this isn't the real world. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

a darkly cloaked figure faades in near the pool sits down in a lounge with a good view of the trampoline and the pool snaps his fingers and the pool rises up to become a clear sided see through above ground pool
and a beer fades from the wall and smokily fades in to view pouring into a glass next to him

[strange echoy voice whispers throughout the house ] 757 bottles of beer on the wall, 757 bottles of beer, take one down, pass it around, 756 bottles of beer on the wall! hmm [fingersnap]

Wow! This has turned out to be a Beer-Bottle-Wall Party. I go get some wood and procede to build Geo a nice new wall to wall, floor to ceiling unit to hold as many bottles of beer as I can.

Should I build this unit to stand the bottles on shelves? Or would it be better to make it like a wine rack and have the bottles lie down? And should I enclose the unit so that it can be refridgerated?

OMG!!!! did you all just see that emormous orange cat walk by the livingroom? Is that Geo's or do we have an uninvited house guest? ...we better get prepared for a great Cat Hunt.

Well, I'm about recovered from the trip now. Drove 790 miles home from Florida yesterday in 14 hours. We planned on taking two days to get home but we were all sick of being on the road so we drove straight through.

Good thing those highways in the States have those bumpy grids on the sides, so if you fall asleep at the wheel and the car starts to swerve to the side, the bumps wake you up. Those things saved us when we drove down to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and we kept falling asleep. I've never seen those bumps on our Canadian highways.

I think it has to do with snowplows and that they'd be ripped up by them during the winter.

Keep in mind the only places I've seen the reflector bumps are in states without snow (for the most part), so I'd expect some of the same for places in BC that are fairly wet and not cold during winter.
