Hi All SEIV Fans:
All Pre-Orders are packaged and ready to go! All will go out by tonight, but depends on the shipper as to whether they actaully "ship." At least they will be "in the mail." One day ahead of schedule!
Thanks for your patience and support!

Tim. When were the credit cards billed? My Amex is non-functional as of today (little late with my Last payment). Hoping my card was charged before the deadline.

Thanks, Tim (and all responsible for the quick shipping). A few moments ago, my email chime went off. "Probably just late-night spam" I figured. Nope: a tracking number from Shrapnel. The UPS site says it'll be here Friday - the perfect day for a new game! For those wondering when they'll get theirs, I pre-ordered on 9/14 and live in Alabama, near Shrapnel's North Carolina sending location. This time I'm in the right part of the country - it takes a week for UPS ground orders to arrive from California http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif.

Bad break, RA (from PA http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif). For me, timing like that usually results in a few grumpy mornings early in the week from playing too late into the night... (usually worth it, though).

Whaddyaknow, a player will *benefit* from the recently maligned policy of charging pre-orders before they ship! http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif I personally don't have a problem with that policy - I figure that's why I'm getting the discount: for paying ahead of time for a game I know I'd be buying anyway. Good to see another positive angle to it.
Wishing a swift and enjoyable countdown to everyone's SE IV package arrivals,
Wendell

The tracking numbers are great. This morning I track SE4 to the local UPS depot which is 5 miles away from my house. Will it get on a truck today or not?! Delivery is guaranteed by Monday but it's sooo close for today .......

RA, I'm in now the same condition as you. On Friday I checked my UPS tracking, only to see the dreaded "delivery exception." A call to UPS cleared it up... After going fine through three warp points (err... UPS hubs), my SE IV package was put on the *wrong truck* here in town. Aieee! So, it will be Monday before I get mine (no fault of Shrapnel's, and the UPS lady was nice and apologetic). Oh well, I'm used to early-week game arrivals disrupting my wake-up/work schedule.... http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

...at least you're getting yours. I pre-ordered. I recieved an e-mail confirming my order (weeks ago). Now, no e-mail from shrapnel or malfador and no package. I believe my CC was billed but need to confirm...
Anyone else seem to have been "skipped" as I have ?

Be happy at least UPS overnight exists for you. I can't belive there is no UPS shipping to Canada offered...

Well, if you'd pay the drivers in real money instead of just offering them beer, bacon, and furs, maybe that would change... http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif Actually, I've ordered a couple of PC games *from* Canada that were no longer available in the States, as well as some SF paperbacks, and was quite glad to get them. Didn't use UPS, just ground post, but it only took a bit over a week each time. Sorry things haven't gone as well for you, but I'm glad to have Canada as a northern neighbor. Besides, this only adds to the mystical lustre of SE IV and means that you'll have less waiting for the first patch (already announced) http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif.

Thnx rich. I sent shrpnel an e-mail with a copy of my order from Chips & Bits Inc. I realize now I only recieved an order summary and not a confirmation. I'm checking with C&B and may have to simply re-order. DOH I'm a newbie at Online ordering http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

I ordered on 10/24 but I've yet to receive my copy... or get any sort of notice from shrapnel about my order since the confirmation email which I got the same day... I even emailed shrapnel's 'mall' about my order & haven't heard back from them... Seeing as how I've already been waiting a long time I'm starting to get annoyed...
On the other hand I don't understand how preordering can save you any money as I paid $39.99 just like it lists to buy it right now, but I ordered mine well before the release date... sigh...
I'm glad most of you have received your copies, but I just a bit frustrated that mine doesn't seem to be coming...

Me too. Where is my game?!@# Yesterday I ordered _another_ copy from chips and bits because they offer 2 day shipping to Canada but they did not send it out yet...eek. Now I'm hoping one of the two will show up before the weekend.

Guys,
Just try us again as most of our staff were out of the office at the end of Last week. Send me or mall an email and we'll check into it.
Shadow I have personally sent your request to our president so he can see what is going on.

You're set Shadow. The president responded to my forwarded e-mail the next day for trouble with WDK2K: AoA. Because of the difficulties, I got a copy of Tour of Duty '44 for free!
I know people have had problems, but Shrapnel and Malfador are really cranking here. We all need to remember they're not a multi-national mega-corporation. They are gamers and fans like us. Let's cut them some slack (ok, maybe just an inch) and congratulate them on a great game...

Cool... It's nice to have received a response from the guys in the know...
Though um I kinda freaked after reading that press release a hour or so after posting in here... If you happen to get my email, ignore the whole middle section & part of the Last paragraph where I vented my frustrations...
Though I'm a long time SE fan (found & bought SE3 soon after it's release), so I think I acted alot like any true fan (I've seen people act in a similiar way, most recently with people being annoyed with sony for producing to few PS2's, though they were somewhat more rabid & juvenile http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon12.gif ).
I just hope I can play the full Version sometime soon... take care.
