I get no music also (Windows ME)
e-mailed MM support but no reply yet. Couple of other issues, game crashes in tactical combat mode, when trying to make a plannet from asteroids with the special thingy (sorry not very technical) i get a range error message and the game locks up. Oh well hope a patch comes soon. Unless its me, if so i would welcome any suggestions from people.

Yes, I have seen the 'Range Error' as well in tactical combat. But I am playing with a heavily tweaked data set so I assumed it was just something I had accidentally screwed up. Hopefully its something a patch can remedy.

Note that I have received that error numerous times and using exclusively low-tech combat so I doubt it was the asteroid thingy you mentioned. Actually, it seems to be an error where I somehow get to take a turn for the enemy fleet. I have 'control' of their ship but if I go to move the cursor over anything 'enemy' it gives the error.

And, like many others, the music on mine is tempermental. Sometimes it works from the get-go, but other times I play for hours and never hear any.

Ok, well, thats it for me. Great game despite these issues. Hopefully a patch will squash these bugs. I have a few other questions, but I'll open a new topic as they are game mechanics and ideas.

I've used the planet-making tech several times without the error popping up so I agree that it can't be tied explicately to that part of the code.

Let's see . . . I've seen it happen twice now. Once was when I clicked on one of my own ships outside of combat. Unfortunately, I can't remember the circumstances of the other time it happened.
