I'm sure its a newbie question, but if I want to load population off a planet onto a ship, or launch sats from a planet into space, there seems to be no way to control the amount, its either all or nothing. Is that right or am I missing something. For example I press L, it presents a lits of things to be loaded, but never an amount???

Appreciate any advice!

Click the Cargo Transfer button. It allows you to move things in multiples of 1 or 5.

How about launching sats from a space yard on a planet. Seems you have to launch all you have. There isn't a way to launch some and keep ther rest as cargo?

Use the launch/recover button its to the right of the building queue button. I almost never use the remote launch and recover buttons, but they have to be used for simultanious play mode, they are the ones that are all or nothing. Its far better to move the ship where you want it then launch with the launch/recover button.

By the way you are supposed to be limited by the number and type of satelite or mine bays now for the number of units launched even outside of combat. If remote launching dosen't support that then it is probably a bug. I haven't tried to deploy satelites or mines in the new patch yet but I will soon, I just finished researching mines Last turn.
