Can you change the defaults?

Is it possible to change the game defaults to your preferences so you don't have to reset them everything you start a new game? Thanks.

One way is to configure a race, start a game, setup some basic ships and unit types, set the options, set the ministers you want. Then save the empire.

Use that empire to start a new game and options are as you set them.

I think he's talking about stuff like the Quandrant size/type, Player Settings, Game Mechanics, etc. As far as I know there isn't, but it sure would be nice if it were added.
