Can make do without this but it would be nice. Not too many people posting they all are too busy playing the game to bother. I am going back to it myself. Great game.

If you want to transfer supplies, form the ships into a fleet. Then all the supplies are pooled and each ship gets an even share. Not the best method, but it does work. If you want them to go their seperate ways, do it in the next turn.

Yes that is what I have been doing but like you say not the best method but you can manage. Not very effective when you just want to bring in fresh supply ships and send them back tho. They go back half full of supplies. Thanks for the reply

Kage,

A better solution is to create a supply ship with nothing but supplies on it. That should give more supplies to each ships in a fleet.

That is pretty much what I do. I make ships with nothing but supplies and engines and the things they have to have and usually a shield generator and a point defense just in case they get attacked.

how about using those solar collector thingies that generate X supplies each turn multiplied by the number of stars in the system. Just make 1 big ship full of those supply generators and your fleet will never run out. Am I right?

Not really. They won't keep up with the fuel usage if you fleet is on the go alot away from Resupply Depots. They also don't work in Nebulas and star-less systems.

I tend to use them on repair ships and such until about mid-game when my research tops 100,000. Then I go for the Quantum reactors. I put them on my Carriers, repair ships, and minesweepers. That gives me a QR in each type of fleet I build.

Just my 2 cents...
