I received this message after unzipping the EA and the new mod pack... I have never gotten it before. I was re-starting a game (didn't like the initial set-up) and my game crashed and I got this error. Anyone know why or how to fix it?

Thank you http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

ach, alot of us have gotten those one time or another. and under varying circumstances.

one question: had you had the time to do a "save empire" while in a game (saving the EA as an empire - I had similar problem when I tried to change the "personality" of my custom race)?

Basically, I think (not a programmer here), is that the operation you/we did caused the game engine to go outside it's normal operating perameters and it generates this message. sometimes one can "esc" out of it, other times "ctrl-alt-del"....depends (in my experience anyways).

I got this too after installing the mod patch.
PLz help!!
Edit:
I just did some tests, this only happened when the quadrant size was set to 'middle' and the number of PC players 'high'. Perhaps not enough space for all players to be evenly spaced apart?

Try checking your options once you start a game and see if you have ship movement lines turned on. I had RCE's when this was on but they disappearred when I turned the movement lines off. In any event, MM has said that they are fixing this problem with the next patch.
