Hi. I just joined up. In the files section, I posted my first creation: a mod that adds Green stars to the game. The mod includes a edited SectType file, a modified Planets file, and portait pictures of the new stars.

I've tested it, but if anything goes wrong, give me a ring at the email addy below:

Cool, added color to the stars is a great idea. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif Thanks.

Welcome. BTW, anyone is free to post this mod on their site, just say that I made the mod, tho, and include everything in the zip.

Just a note from the nitpicking department:

There are no green stars because an object whose blackbody peak is in the green produces equal amounts of energy on both ends of the visible spectrum, all the colors combine, and the star ends up looking white. Not that anybody should care, but it's slow at work today and I'm bored. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif

Green stars are, however, traditional in space 4X games. "Stellar Conquest", the primordial space 4X game, used green as a color code for spectral class F stars. They are actually some shade of yellow or white, as I recall off the top of my head, but limited colors were available and yellow was being used for class G.
