I'm sure many of these might have been answered somewhere else, but I am at work and don't have forever to search.

1) Has any patch ETA been announced?
2) Is there anyplace to go see what has been fixed in it so far?
3) Will it include these "mods" that you guys talk about, or should I still look into installing them separately?
4) In some Posts, people say things like "I gave the Texrak seven star bases and checked back later and they had built 7 cruisers..." How does one do things like that, i.e. give computer players something, check their build queues, view their planets, etc...
5) Would somebody please give me a layman's explanation of the "defense base bug" that everyone blames everything on?

Thanks!

Bill

1: Yes. Within the next 4 weeks or so
2: Yes. Here -> http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/Forum23/HTML/001352.html

3: No, you will have to download them.
4: Under the game options, I believe there is a screen that allows you to change which races are played by humans. Have a play, I found it by accident once.
5: There was an entry for defense bases in the AI build priorities, planets without shipyards were trying to build space stations. When they couldn't, The AI would stop building on that planet until it changed its 'stance'.

3) At least some of Mephisto's mod (the design creation file I think) is going to be in the patch.

Umm, I wrote that one. I have done this to Xi'Chung (not Texrak) by modding their AI files. Also, you can check on them by changing empire control from computer to player (it is done in Game Menu/Players option). I am sorry for confusing you about this, http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon9.gif it was intended for modders only. I'll go delete that one right now.
