Oh dear --- my SEIV has just gone "Access Violation at address ..." after only about three weeks of being up & running.
Question: I was doing great, does MM code do this deliberately when it's getting whooped? Mean if it does...

Yep. Be careful not to beat the AI by too much. Instead of Access Violations, the game is programmed to start deleting files off your hard drive. There's a rumour that if you get ahead too quickly on a max bonus game that the game will use your modem to place a call to the IRS and tell them you haven't paid your taxes in the past five years.

However, the original problem! Yoyu are being to broad about what happened, and were you using a mod or not?!
There are several thousand things you can do to SE4 to make it crash, or do funny things. . .
