I quite enjoy both RTS and turned base games, and have played both for many years. I couldn't say which I enjoy more - I like them both.
As this is not an option in the poll, consider this my answer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Your poll lacks a critical distinction... adrenaline pumping real time ala Warcraft/Starcraft or game-balancing "real time" which is just meant to eliminate problems with one side firing everything before the other and otherwise plays exactly like turn based combat...

That, and you might also want to make some distinctions between some kinds of RTS. There is quite a difference between Age of Empires (clicking speed just matters more than almost anything), and a slower-paced games such as Warzone 2100 (or was it 2150?) or Enemy Nations, or possibly Europa Universalis.
So I have nothing against real-time, as long as it does not turn the game into a click slugfest. I know it was why I did fairly well when I played Age of Kings (that was several years ago; youth makes its mistakes), but this factor wouldn't matter so much in EU (unless playing a quick multiplayer game, but that would be a different problem).

Finally a chance to give my whoopie cushion the praise it deserves.. But seriously, I too enjoy both RTS and Real-Time and that option was not available. In order not to give a false impression I was forced to sit on my whoopie cushion.
Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Dito. Pausable RTS is missing. I like the Total War kind of approach to RTS/TB.

I apoligize for leaving out some selections, this was an oversight on my part. Therefore, in all fairness, I shall start a new Poll with the new addions . Please consider this thread closed and please vote in the newer one.
If the moderator would pls lock this one down, I would appreciate it, and I again apoligize....

I like them both. I think a combination of the two would work well. I like how one you play real time, no turns, but I also like the pause that a turn gives you. I am struck on the fence.
