View Full Version : To all PBW games I'm in:
Renegade 13

Due to the fact that I had emergency surgery early yesterday morning, I have been unable to play some of my turns. Also, I may yet miss some turns. I do not want the games I'm in placed on ALPU, I simply want all players to know that the AI may play a turn or two here or there so please do not take any declarations of war seriously.
The games I'm in are:
- (Nearly Gods) The Conflict 5 (I know that this game executed without me uploading, so there may be some trouble)
- New Galactic Combat 4
- N00bz in Space
- Newbies 102
- Return to Hell 2
- Race to SEV Atull game (I will make these turns at all costs)
- Star Trek: Quadrants of Conflict
- The Great Experiment III
- Zeta Quadrant
I'll try to keep on top of the turns, but please understand if I am not able to. Thanks.

Empire status - ministers - scroll down - check "AI should not make changes to the empire". Caution: Is NOT automatically checked if you select "Complete AI off". This should prevent any unwanted wars.
I hope your surgery was nothing serious? Best wishes and get well soon.

Thanks for pointing that out Roanon. As far as I know, I've disabled the AI in all my games, but there is a possibility that I missed one or two. It has happened to me before.
The surgery wasn't anything too major, just an appendectomy. Seems my appendix didn't like me anymore. I'm just glad it didn't burst, and I don't have to stay in the hospital for a week. It must have been relatively serious though, they bumped me up to the top of the surgery line, and cut me open about 6 hours after I went to the hospital, as soon as they got the blood test back. Right now, it just hurts like hell.
I think I'll be able to stay on top of the games now, I just figured it would be better to inform everyone now, instead of later if I do end up missing any more turns.
Slynky, those games aren't even all the games I'm playing right now, I'm also in a KOTH game! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif

If you need some slack in any of the games, let us know.

Yeah, while the appendectomy isn't any fun, the twelve to twenty-four hours leading up to it is pretty hellish too.
Mmm... NPO for twenty four hours... Followed by ICE CHIPS Woohoo!!
Who can for get hospital jello as your next favorite entre?!?
And then... Waiting for the first bowel movement.
Aaahh. Memories.

I'll have to get back to you on that one...sometimes the pain is worse than others. Right now for instance, I can just barely stand sitting in the chair for the computer, and that's with the drugs for pain all in me. Other times, there's no chance I'd even try to sit. I'll get back to you tomorrow, and see how it is.
Thanks for the patience.

Hmm...then I don't know if I was lucky or not. I came in to the hospital at 1:30 in the morning, they tested me, and by 7:30 the same day, they were cutting me open. I didn't have to bother with the not eating stuff. The Ice Chips really do suck though. I mean, let me drink something!!
However, the drugs they gave me were quite good. Demerol and Morphene...my parents say I was totally stoned out of my mind, I really can't remember.
Also, I went home the day after my surgery, probably about 28 hours after it. Is this normal? Also, the bowel movement thing...is it expected that it will take some time before such movements occur? Just some questions from a curious, and very unhappy Renegade. Ugh, time to take some more Tylonol 3's...see you all in the morning, with an update hopefully. If I can still move....

i would recommend that you also change your diet to make sure you still go to the washroom ( #2 ) /threads/images/Graemlins/icon25.gif For the #3's and the stress to your body from the operation and drugs will bring on the worst case of const. you ever experienced. I would recommend tea.
Also it is normal. The operation is very quick and easy.
Day operation.

Ouch Renegade, Hope nothing seriously yucky happens. My friend was suspected to have a problem with his appendix a week ago. Thankfully it was just a Viral Infection.
Recover soon, And in typical "get well soon" manners here's some grapes /threads/images/Graemlins/icon38.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Some tips to you Renegade:
Don’t sneeze for a while, it will hurt like hell. If you feel a tickling under your nose, just try to ignore it. You know the kind of tickling ? Yeah, that’s the one. Now you just ignore it. Ignore it I say http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
BTW: Laughing hurts too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
And careful with those Tylenols, they do you no good.
