View Full Version : Where to get Miner's Guild and Gritty Econ mods?

Does anybody know where to get these mods? I DLd Gritty Econ based on someone's suggestion and when I tried to run it I got many, many error Messages.
I've been unable to find Miner's Guild. A number of the links on the official Malfador SE4 mods page lead simply to the general forum page.
I have tried to use the search function here, but it yields too many results, all of them useless.

http://www.malfador.com/se4mods.html probably needs updating for the new forums format... ugh

Three things:
1) Have you installed the latest patch for SE4?
2) Have you installed the imagemod packs? (components, facilities, and combat are required for GritEcon)
3) Are you trying to use AIs? (Grit Econ does not support AIs yet. Its strictly humans only.)

1) I think so. It's 1.9 something, isn't it?
2) No.
3) Well, if it's human-only, I'll just forget about it.
Thanks for the replies.
Perhaps you can answer another question. Do the imagemod packs change the regular game in any way? Believe it or not, even though I've played billions of hours worth of SE4, I've never played any mods until very recently. The regular game is so much fun.... All I've done is add various user-created races to the "vanilla" game.
That leaves Miner's Guild. Anybody know where to get it?

This is the page I use to seek out mods. Yep, some of the links there do need to be updated.

No. You will have to overwrite the mini files (Components.bmp, Facilities.bmp, etc.). But, no stock minis will be overwritten. The stock game will play identically after installing the Image Mod. It is best to install the packs in the default Pictures folders, to avoid having to install them multiple times for different mods.

Just to be clear, the imagepacks have absolutely no effect, visually or gameplay wise.
They only actually have an effect when you run mods that ask for these extra images.
The point being to save you time downloading the mods (since you don't have to download the same graphics for P&N, and Adamant, and MGM, over and over)
It also saves space on your harddrive since you don't have multiple copies of those bitmaps.
And as a bonus, it makes it easier for modders to include fancy images in their mods, since they have a large collection to choose from.

Well, the link for the Miner's guild mod is in my sig, if that helps. But this brings something to mind, has the devnull mod been updated to v1.91? If so then I might have to update my Miner's guild mod.

EDIT: Oops, it looks like the link in my sig is no longer valid. Sorry, you'll have to keep looking.
