One of the movie trailers I saw recently was one for Flight of the Phoenix. I don't know how many of you may rememeber, but there was a movie made in the 60's called The Flight of the Phoenix. This is a remake. Although the original is one of my all time favorite movies, I was suprised that someone would want to make another movie. The original starred Jimmie Stewart and Richard Attenborough. This time around, Dennis Quaid will be the star. Sorry, Dennis Quaid is no Jimmie Stewart. But I'll go see it regardless. Just hope it's as good as the original. If you haven't seen it (or have never heard of it and wonder who Jimmie Stewart is), rent the movie somewhere before you see this remake.

That's the one. This time, from what I can tell, it's supposed to a C-119. Not really sure what type of plane that is, other than a cargo plane, but from I saw in the trailer, it had a very similar design to the original one.

I think C-119 was the number for the Box Car http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/stupid.gif

You could be right. As many times as I've seen the original movie, I never really paid any attention to the markings on the plane. Except for when the word "Phoenix" was painted on the sides. I thought that C-119 was a designation of a military cargo plan, like C-130 or C-5.
