It's 5.15am now here, I've been playing this game now since 11.00am yesterday. The war against the Fazrah has been raging for I don't know how many turns. My eyes are red and I'm finally out of beer, Winamp is begging for a break after playing my playlist over and over again.
I got about 3 hours of sleep before duty calls again.
-Sigh- I haven't been addicted to a game like this since Strategic Command came out first.

-Double sigh-

One Last turn, hehe, curse this game !!!

one Last game sure http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif and one more turn and one more turn and one more turn. Its happened to all of us from time to time. My funniest story relating to this game, It was winter and i didnt notice the light outside or the time and missed the school. I finally relized at 10:00AM that i missed school (I should be out at the bus stop 6:45AM) So one more turn and one more turn

Yup, pretty much everyone here has gone through the hardcore addiction phase. I recall playing for well over 24 hours straight a few times...

Where can I submit a new rule for the Evil Ruler Handbook?

Atrocities
October 1st, 2004, 06:40 AM
I would say do a search for "Evil Ruler Handbook" but the GD search feature for the forum is frelled. (And this frustrates the hell out of me.)

EDIT

Frelled Boards

Well I can see the URL and other things are just as broken.

NEVER MIND.

Until the Boards url system is fixed I cannot post the link.

Include the quotes and do a search for "Evil Ruler Handbook" and in the user name put ATROCITIES

That should bring up the link.

I remember playing one SEIV game that I was awake for, with no sleep breaks, for around 48 hours....

That was harsh but damn fun. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Trouwens, erg gave avatar. Leuk om ook eens een Belg hier te ontmoeten, naar mijn weten ben je de eerste. Er zijn momenteel 4 Nederlanders actief.

As a "responsible" family guy, I don't think I've played later than 1:00 am. Would like to, but I get up at 4:30am, and I feel it when I stay up so late. Damn, old age! I used to do something like that on weekends, but now with working a part-time job on those days, I can't do that either.

When I fall asleep at the computer my hand clicks the mouse, waking me up. I sit their all confused and wondering what I just clicked and how long will it be before I noticed whatever damage was done. Kinda like Dr. Strangelove, the hand just takes over.

I've done that too! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I think it was during Christmas holidays when I had a week off work and I could stay up or sleep whenever I wanted...

I lost my job because of my SEIV addition. It was so bad that I would call in sick and stay home and play all day, then stay up all night and play, and then call in stick and start the cycle over again. eventually my body could not handle the schedule and slipped into coma for a month. My employer, unable to contact me, assumed I had kicked off so they let me go to avoid paying the insurance. When I came too, I contacted them and told them I was an addict and needed help. Having fired me, they refused, I sued, and well the rest is history. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I completed my 12 step kick SEIV program Last year and I am happy to say that I have been SEIV clean since.
