Is it just me or does that "ghost" in the new ad banner make you think of the KKK? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif No offense to the fine artists at Shrapnel if it wasn't, but for some reason it looks like it was taken out of an old political cartoon from the 19th century or something...

Hmmm...when I was young and innocent. Well, young anyway, wearing a pillow case with eyeholes cut was the standard Hallo'wen ghost costume. That's what it looks like to me, although the pillow case could be made to look like a KKK outfit, I s'pose.

I remember the time, 8 or 9, I tried to wire a flaslight bulb under my costume to some flashlight batteries, using some bare wire as a switch, so I could glow underneath spookyly. Couldn't pull it off, my parents we totally confused -- "Couldn't you just carry a flashlight?"

*Sigh* Where did these geek genes of mine come from anyway?

Glowing lights? Should have used red leds.

My dad's an electronics technician. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I used red LED eyes in a boxy robot costume...

I didn't get the candy-vaccuum arm I wanted though http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Red leds? Guys, I'm 36. I was eight years old in 1976. To get LEDs back then, I would've had to break open one of those $35 calculators. God I'm so old. My friends little girls have no memory of a time when there were no blue LEDs -- I still think they're the coolest thing ever.

[EDIT]
You know, one of {these.} (http://www.vintagecalculators.com/html/texas_insturments_ti_58.html)
