I wonder if this would be possible to mod, given that events and intel are basically the same? It would remove some of the cheesiness and make the game a tad more interesting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Here's an idea I've come up with recently. You've got crew insurrection, rebelions, ppp, boarding parties and the aligence subverter. How about if they weren't permanant, that they only Lasted 2 or 3 or at most 10-15 turns.

This could simulate a situation that seems to come up often TV sci-fi shows -- when the guy in charge defys the desk people to take a stand, point out an injustice and, once the point is made, start following orders again in time for next weeks episode, without any penalty. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Ok, thats a little dumb when that happens, we wouldn't like that happening in real life. But it would be a way to balance these effects.

Well, I've added almost all of the other intel projects as events. I never modded CI or PPP in, though, since I didn't know to whom the ship would be given--a new empire? a random AI? a random AI who you've already met? and how the game would react to having no acceptable resolution to that question. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Guess I'm just a chicken. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
