I am in the process of re-rendering the Breen ships and need peoples opinion on what texture looks best.

The green one looks more impressive and interesting. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif In comparison, the grey one looks somewhat plain-looking.

I don't recall the Breen even having bioships. Either way, with that ship design, the organic texture just looks bad... It looks nothing at all like a bioship.

I should point out that breen ships are partly based on organic material, and they are green. Hense my problem.

I think this is the one I am going to go with.

Looks great, though it somehow looks just like a borgship, color-like.

They look great, Much better than the earlier Versions. I quite like them all, But the one you chose is a great compromise http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I saw the Romulan and Klingon ships in the STM thread, they look just as good

I think the first grey one with about -10 or -20 to brightness would work the best compared to the best Breen ship image out there on the web. You know which one I'm talking about. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

I think that's the best choice. I liked both and hated to vote one way or the other but this is a nice blend of the grey and green. Good job!

As long as Atrocities does, there's nothing to worry about. /threads/images/Graemlins/Cold.gif

That is the one I went for. Looks the most like an actual Breen ship as seen in DS9.

I like the way the ship looks partially mechanical and partially biological. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Dunno man... they look straight mechanical to me, but alas I am but a padawan learner.

I also should point out that if you put me in a room with a computer and said "Build a shipset before you leave" I would pop you one in the nose and run screaming out into the hallway before you could close the door on me. Fear and knowledge of one's limitations are powerful behavior modifiers.

So take mine comments mit annnn grain of salt. Nah, hell, use the whole shaker...

Building a ship set from scratch using DOGA is relatively easy once you have the basics down. It is also quite fun too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Building a ship set from sratch using 3d max, maya, bryce, other is a PITA. (Pain In The ***)

Well yeah, but see, if I start on that she really WILL divorce me! Cuz an SE:IV website for no reason she can fathom was close...

What is DOGA like and where can I go look at it?
