I kinda like to listen to a wide varity of music while playing the game. I don't like the game music on, its good, but I just prefer to listen to my own music while playing.
I listen to ACDC, KidRock, Van Morrison, Enya, Stones, Matchbox, Santana, Laura McKena, Sting, Phil Colins, Cindy Laupher, Bruce, John Mellon, Thems from Star Wars, Battlestar Galactic (persnal favorate) TV, (Rockferd Files, Magnum PI, Etc.)
When I sit down to play, I commit 4 to 6 hours to do so. I have a huge library of CD's, and MP3's. I listen to them all during the course of a game session.
Please forgive my spelling, its 2 am here, and I am over tired. (Regardless, I still can not spell worth a darn, and I hate spell checkers as they are the devil of the digital age. http://www.shrapnelgames.com/ubb/images/icons/icon7.gif )

Actually, there is a great internet radio station called Drone Zone... Its the perfect kind of music for the game... Spacy and Ambient. Its a 128Kb stream... not sure if they have a lesser one.
Enjoy! http://stream.somafm.com:8042/listen.pls

"What do -you- want?" "I'd like to live -just- long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I would look up into your lifeless eyes and wave like this..." *waggle* "...can you and your associates arrange that for me, Mr. Morden?"

<re, Brunnen G song>
Argh. I don't remember where I got it. Check Yahoo and use "Lexx" and/or "Brunnen-G" and it should show up. It's one of those sites at least.

I always start with the Starship Troopers soundtrack (mmm, Klendathu Drop), then tend to move on to Fifth Element or Dvorak's 9th Symphony from the New World. After that I'll sometimes pop in other movie soundtracks or Mechwarrior 2.

I like putting on some trance, or happy hardcore, depending on my mood. Also sometimes I'll put on the ghost in the shell soundtrack, really nice.
