Send them to a planet with a Resupply Depot. You can tell which these are by the fact that they have little R's in the lower right corner on the system map.

edit: oh, and a warm welcome to the Space Empires community! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Welcome new player! You can also put ships in a fleet. Ships in a fleet share supplies. You can design a "tanker" which has a lot of Supply Storage components to go along with your fleet. Later research "Resupply" to get other goodies. Also researching "Astrophysics", then "Stellar Harnessing" gives some goodies too.

Ships also use supply's by (Number of Engines * 10) * Each Square Moved. In other words, if your ship has six engines, those engines use 60 supplies to move one square and 360 supplies to move all 6 squares. 5 engines = 250 supplies used total, 4 engines = 160 supplies used.

This means that for long-range ships, you may want to drop an engine in certain situations.

Ships also use proportionally more per engine as you acquire faster engines, or get other components to give you a movement bonus. So, at some point in your quest for the fastest ship, you should research storage, to get storage components that hold more.

Yes, but supplies are shared at the end of each turn so you will have to wait 1 turn to share supplies.

Fleeting him with any ship that has fuel with help. They will split the total fuel between them. Join and fleet, do turn processing, then split them and send them on their way half-fueled.
