Anyone know of any good ones? I'm talking about something that can run through all or a filtered subset of the files in a directory and its subdirectories and replace all instances of one text string with another...

I think I just saw a PERL one-liner for that. Would that do?

As in, the names of the files, or the contents of them? If the names, CKRename is a good program for that.

Try a free application called "BK ReplaceEM". It will take just a little while to learn, but then would be great. We use it at our company to help make pricebooks. Replacing title strings and addresses with others from a file. Instant customized books.
