A while ago I made an excel spreadsheet with all the important SEIV data files for my own use. It's pretty good for sorts/filters or to find out data. I frequently use it during a game. I didn't make it necessarily user friendly, but each worksheet tab on the bottom is pretty self-explanatory. Use at your own risk. See attached.

Nice work Slick!
I don't think I'll use it a lot, after a few years of playing this game I know all the important things (important things for me that is) from memory. You could say they're burned in it.
The part about the strategies is very useful, I really like that. That is a feature I'm going to use.
Thumbs up!

Very usefull. Thank you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Man this is impressive. It must have taken you month to enter all the data. This is something that should be mandatory for SE V. This is very valuable info to have. Thanks a ton for posting it.

I didn't enter any data per se. I imported the .txt files then massaged them a little.

Would you happen to have an automated way to create something like this for any arbitrary set of data files?

Sorry, but nope; all of it was done manually. I initially imported the txt files and slowly tweaked the layout whenever I wanted it to display a certain way.

edit: excel has a lot of features and functions that make the work pretty fast and easy, though.

Holy cow, this is impressive stuff. If the Ratings system was reintroduced, I would have given you a five again.
