No new updates, but there will be a chat with Aaron at #SpaceEmpires on irc.freenode.net this Wednesday at 5:00 PM California time (GMT-08, IIRC)

IIRC, there was a statement by somebody that it will be able to handle universes of much greater than 256 systems. (in fact, I think it was equal to a long or a double var in size) - can any one confirm or point me towards such a statement? I personally find that extremely cool if it actually can pull it off...

thanks,

Alarik

There is a countdown script active to help alleviate timezone confusion... Especially since we have apparently decided to befuddle the issue and use "California Time," rather than PST... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

You can find a list of Space Empires V features as mentioned by Aaron in various forums/chats at my Space Empires depot site. New information has been sparse but that should change this Wednesday.

I think Aaron does not like to release updates but once every few months. Lets hope that once the beta starts he will provid more frequent updates, say on a monthly basis.
