New Player with a management query

I downloaded the demo and was quite pleased with the game, but there is one thing that is frustrating me. I only have about 5 planets with a ship yard on them. The problem is remembering which ones have a ship yard and picking them out of the colonies report menu. I realize I could write them down, but I was wondering if there's a way to view only colonies with a specific facility? When you have say 30 colonies and only 5 ship producers its quite difficult to pick them out you see.

Under the ? on the "Task Bar" there should be a "Box" that will say "Show Shipyards' "Resupply" make sure this is checked

Use the construction menu (F7) and select planet shipyards. This will bring up all planets with shipyards. (Be sure to deselect the other options.)

Though you can't sort by facility type, you can sort colonies by whether or not they have a spaceyard in the Construction Queue window (F7 (or click the wrench icon)).

Go to the Construction Queue window, and it will show all your colonies. The ones with a spaceyard will have a crane icon by them. If you want, you can click the radio boxes to the right to (for example) sort out spaceyard-ships and planets without spaceyards.

I find it a lot easier to do most of my construction orders from this window...

You name your planets with shipyards on them, or

1. click on the Minister icon (The Crown)
2. Click the EMPIRE OPTIONS Tab at the top right
3. Scroll down to SYSTEM DISPLAY.
4. Check the 6th line down "Show Resupply Depots (R), Spaceports (S), and planetary Space Iards (SY)
5. Click CLOSE
6. Click CLOSE

P.S. You'll want more than 1/6 of your planets with spaceyards. And you'll want to have what each one is doing kept in the back of your mind. Trust me on this one.
