Hey everyone, got a new modding problem here. I was just revising the EA and Narn AIs for the B5 mod and went to test them. So i edited the quickstartstyles. I start the mod, choose quickstart and choose my race (EA or Narn). Then im immdiatly kicked back the startscreen, a small window with a red X pops up and tells me:

List of Index out of bounds (0)

I then choose to play a standart new game and manually adding the narn and the EA. As soon as i click start game, the error comes up again...

Any ideas ?!?

You need to have at least 8 quickstart styles, IIRC...

Attach your settings.txt, and list the content of Race directory.

Yeah kewl that could be it. I deleted all but 2 quickstartstyles. Will test it within a minute (will just copy the 2 quickstartstyles 4 times.

Well it wasnt. I added 8 quickstartstyles, still the error comes up (i tried both copying and creating new ones)

Number of Quick Start Styles := 8
Quick Start Style 1 := NarnRegime
Quick Start Style 2 := EarthAlliance
Quick Start Style 3 := Hyach
Quick Start Style 4 := Lnaw
Quick Start Style 5 := Minbari
Quick Start Style 6 := NarnRegime
Quick Start Style 7 := Shadows
Quick Start Style 8 := Vorlons

All of the races do exist in the race folder.
Anyone else ?

Attached is the settings.txt, maybe something else is wrong with it.

You have NarnRegime race listed twice - as quick start race 1 & 6. Try to change it.
Also make sure you wrote race names correctly - Vorlons or Vorlon?

hey,

just a few notes. I changed the quickstart stlyles in a way that each race is unique, checked spelling as well. Anyways, that didnt solved the problem. I was able to isolate the error though. If i change the minimum and maximum NEUTRAL races to zero, then the game works without a flaw. Cant really tell why, but its okay that way, at least i can testplay now.

Thanks for your help everyone !

p.s. you dont have to have 8 quickstart styles. Even 1 will be enough.
