OMG!!! I am SO there!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I saw the teaser a few weeks ago at the theatre. It was great. A beautiful scene of the earth floating in space while they played "What a wonderful world", then with no warning... KABOOOOM! The Earth blows up and big chucks of rock come whizzing by you head and then the picture freezes and "DON'T PANIC" flashes up on the screen. My wife was like, "What the heck is this". You could tell who the geeks were in the audience cause most everybody was confused like my wife but there was like five of us going, "OH YEAH BABY!" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
I hadn't even heard that they were making a movie before that.

For some reason it won't work... it just keeps saying "download the Flash player" even after I installed the latest version.

The trailer link at Rotten Tomatoes is working...

I'm not too sure what to think of the music, though. I can't think of THGTTG without "The Journey of the Sorceror" going through my head...

Looks like a low budge cheap adaptation of a book I never really liked. Glad you all are happy about it. For me I might as well go watch this crappy arse movie => LINK (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/star_wars_episode_3_revenge_of_the_sith/trailers.php) I hold no expectation for it, and my opinion of the first two is so low that Lucus will have to work very hard indeed to disappoint me again.

AT - I think you had to catch this book before it hit its zenith, when it was still "unknown", and before anything after Restauraunt at the End of the Universe came out. I mean, really, a frictionless paint job. You can't even look at it, your eyes slide right off. That's funny.

Yay! The Hitchhiker series is one of my favorite book series. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Hmm, who are those strange characters in the movie photos? I think I recognize Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect, Trillian and Marvin but who are those other people? Zaphod is supposed to have two heads so those guys couldn't be Zaphod. Ugh, that awful Marvin with the huge round head!

Zapthod is introduced -by name-, and yes he does have a second head. Watch what happens right before he says "This!"

Hmm, now this might actually get me to go to a theatre.

It's also a British production, so it'd be interesting to see how that differs from the traditional Hollywood Sci-Fi flick.

Quite poorly I am sure and will play money on it.

It doesn't look all that cheap, quite good I think. I have a question though. At the end of trailer the group were getting hit in the face. At first I thought they were stepping on rakes, but now I wonder if they are being hit by falling blubber. What do you think?.
Edit: looked again, yep they're spades or something. On another note the vogons can just use the Borg Shipset http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. I've seen some merchandise already. Vogon coffee cups are just a hollow cube with a roughly welded strip of metal as the handle.

But At least this film will have a valid excuse that all the bad guy's are british, unlike hollywood productions http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

The British, in my opinion, do better comedy than the US. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

What, your bad guys aren't French? A shame really; we should perhaps work on improving our... reputation. Now if you will excuse me, I have some wicked scheme to devise.
